Kent County Council - Temporary Road Closure and 30 MPH Speed Limit - Various Roads, Weavering - 18th October 2025

To allow a programme of highway improvement works to be carried out by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close and impose a 30 MPH speed limit on Various Roads, Weavering, from 18th October 2025 with estimated completion by 31st December 2026.
The following restrictions will be imposed when they are indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A249 NEWNHAM COURT ROUNDABOUT ENTRY SOUTHBOUND TO A249 M20 INTERCHANGE ROUNDABOUT EXIT SOUTHBOUND (24202013)
30 MPH speed limit.
BEARSTED ROAD (24200092)
30 MPH speed limit for the entire length of the road when not closed.
Road Closed from KIMS Roundabout to Hockers Lane.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, Roundwell, The Street, The Green, Ware Street, Bearsted Road and vice versa.
Road Closed from KIMS roundabout to Bearsted Road Roundabout.
The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic avoiding the low bridge at A20 Ashford Road/Square Hill Road junction is via New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Sheals Crescent, A229 Hayle Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, Romney Place, Padsole Lane, A249 Watt Tyler Way, A249 Andrew Broughton Way, A249 Albion Place, A249 Sittingbourne Road and Bearsted Road.
The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Bearsted Road, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Albion Place, A249 Andrew Broughton Way, A249 Ashford Road, A249 Watt Tyler Way, A249 Mote Road, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Loose Rd, A274 Sutton Road, Willington Street, A20 Ashford Road and New Cut Road.
