Temporary Road Closure - A249 Detling Hill (Southbound), Detling - 27th September 2025

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Kent County Council, it will be necessary to close part of A249 Detling Hill (Southbound), Detling, from 27th September 2025 with estimated completion by 28th September 2025.
A249 Detling Hill southbound carriageway will be closed from the junction with Scragged Oak Road to the junction with Jades Crossing. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A249 Stockbury Roundabout, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Maidstone Road, A249 Slip Northbound Off Bobbing to A2 Key Street Roundabout, A2 Key Street Roundabout, A2 Keycol Hill, A2 Boyces Hill, A2 High Street, A2 London Road, A2 Hartlip Hill, A2 London Road, A2 Moor Street, A2 High Street, A2 London Road, A2 Bowaters Roundabout, A2 Watling Street, A2 Rainham Road, A2 Chatham Hill, A2 Luton Arches Roundabout, A2 New Road, A2 New Road Avenue, A2 New Road, A2 City Way Roundabout, A229 City Way, A229 Horsted Roundabout, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Royal Engineers Road, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A249 Mote Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A249 Andrew Broughton Way, A249 Albion Place, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Bearsted Road, A249 Newnham Court Roundabout, A249 Sittingbourne Road and A249 Detling Interchange.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow drainage repair works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
