50 MPH speed limit - A249 Sittingbourne Road (Westbound), Thurnham - 24 August 2026

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Steadline Ltd, it will be necessary to impose a temporary mandatory 50 MPH speed limit on part of A249 Sittingbourne Road (Westbound), Thurnham, from 24 August 2026 with estimated completion by 28 August 2026. The current 70 MPH speed limit will be suspended for the duration of these works.
A249 Sittingbourne Road (Westbound), Thurham, will have a temporary 50 MPH limit imposed just before the Shell Garage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
The restrictions are required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow surface and foul water drainage connection works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Steadline Ltd.
