Detling Parish Council Needs You!
Detling Parish Council
Detling Parish Council is looking for residents to assist with formulating a new vision for Detling to explore what people want from their village going forward, and how they see it developing to meet current and new needs. This might include such things as parking, community resilience, or the development of housing and services. It is hoped to comprise a team of residents and Councillors to put some plans together to carry Detling into the next decade. Please contact clerk@detlingparishcouncil.org.uk or speak with any Councillor for more information.
We are aware that communication and information sharing with residents is key to a successful community. We are hoping to engage with residents to find quick, efficient ways to disseminate information to you and to open a dialogue about issues affecting our parish and community. This is likely to require a new approach and we would very much welcome input on how residents feel this could best be achieved and using what communication methods should be used. As a starting point we would like to get a group of residents together to work toward a strategy which might meet your needs. Again, use the above contacts to let us know if you would be interested in joining such a group to chat about how this would work.
Detling Parish Council currently has one vacancy for Parish Councillor and is looking to fill this position by co-option. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month and residents are always welcome to attend in the village hall at 7.00 pm.
