Ref: 26/500485/FULL
Address: Land At Hockers Farm Orchard View Detling Kent ME14 3BF
Proposal: Demolition of existing structures and erection of 25(no) dwellings and associated car ports and parking (with 40% affordable housing onsite), erection of 2-storey building to be used as children’s nursery and associated parking, provision of open space, biodiversity net gain area and landscape buffering, and associated earthworks, with access from Orchard View.

The developer has submitted a Parking Plan document (Transport Technical Note) for the proposed Nursery. This relies on suggested on-street parking availability in Hockers Lane! The feasibility and safety of this proposal are ridiculous. Any proposed public facility should provide adequate parking.

The site location's inadequate access and lack of parking provision should not be mitigated by adding to our traffic and parking problems.

Comments and objections can once again be submitted using the planning portal. https://maidstone.gov.uk/home/primary-services/planning-and-building/planning/search-for-a-planning-application

It is worth taking a look and adding a few reasons why this should not be permitted and why the document is not fit for purpose.

Detling Parish Council encourages residents to respond to all planning applications in the parish.
